Lightroom — Keywords
Lightroom — Keywords
Keywording must be the least popular part of any photographer’s workflow. The problem is that there are about 60 billion photos on the web1! Over 95 million photos in the various “big” stock agencies.
- The right keywords and you can retrieve your photo. The right keywords and the photo-buyers will find your photos.
- If people can't find your photos, they won't buy your photos. It's that simple. For images, the more keywords the better! Yahoo did a study that showed that photos with 250 keywords performed much better than photos with 50 keywords, as long that you do not spam2 and as long as the keywords are relevant to your photos. The right keywords will make the difference.
- The biggest problem in keywording is inconsistent keywords with for example: Drink and Drinks or Smoke and Smoking and Cigarette…
