The beach is supposed to be for playing volley-ball, suntanning, sand... not for parking skidoos. In most places, the waterfront is the most expensive property, not in Iqaluit. The waterfront is even foggier and colder than the rest of the town. The region is called the Eastern Arctic. Where is global warming when I need it?

There is no midnight sun, but there is a 24 hours daylight. There is no nautical twilight, the sun doesn't go below the horizon enough to have a night. It took me only a few days to get use to it.
