Apple Aperture
I regularly receive emails asking me questions about Apple Aperture:
- How to do this Aperture?
- Why not also give Aperture tip?
- Why not switch to Apple Aperture since it's modeless and so much better.
- Why not switch to Apple Aperture since it has so many more plug-ins.
- ...
I use Lightroom because:
- I don't have a Mac, I have PCs.
- Apple Aperture only runs on Macs.
- Now I rarely use Photoshop, because Lightroom does so much, including local adjustments and brushes.
- Lightroom even does layers, almost. Not as layers themselves, but by doing the local adjustment and erasing some of it
- It's my decision. I like Lightroom, it does 90+% of what I need.
Don't ever try to change somebody else decision:
- Most of the time, you will not succeed, you will have wasted a lot of time.
- Even if you do change their decision, they will regret it because the "grass is always greener..."
- If this is a customer, it will not be a long-term customer.
