C.Fn III -8 - VF Display Illumination

Canon 7D: C.Fn III -8 - VF Display Illumination
Do you want to want to see the viewfinder to be transformed in a Xmas tree? This setting allows you to illuminate both the focus points used and the grid lines.
0: to illuminate the focus points and the grid lines automatically in low light.
1: to illuminate the focus points and the grid lines all the time. This will consume more battery and therefore give less photos per battery charge.
2: to never illuminate the focus points or the grid lines. This will save the battery and extend the number of photos per battery charge.
My preference is to set the VF Display illumination to 1, unless I realize that my spare/backup battery is not enough.
- Disable the display of the focus points with the setting of 2.
- Adjust the LCD brightness.
- Set the review time to Off.
- The C.Fn III -8 - VF Display Illumination works in conjunction with the C.Fn III -9 Display all AF points settings to configure the viewfinder See: C.Fn III -9 Display all AF points
