Thank You Note After Meeting

The meeting went well, they haven't decided yet. I have a good feeling, the presentation went well, and they seem to know what they wanted.

Now what? If I need to change the proposal that's OK. But if I need to sit tight and wait, I hate that. Patience is not my forte. Have they decided? What are they discussing? I can't push. But I can write a handwritten thank you note. I have a whole bunch of cards that say "Thank You".

It was a pleasure to spend time with you yesterday. Thank you for spending an hour with me to discuss your ...

Thanks

I never use email for the thank you cards. I never use those e-cards, almost all of them end up in the spam folder, or being killed by the anti-virus either on the mail server or on the person's computer. Those e-cards look cheap.

The thank you card, with the envelop and stamp, costs me around $5. Before that stage, I usually have already spent an hour doing the presentation and 3, 4 or 5 hours preparing for the presentation and the proposal.

On a couple of occasions, customers have said that the thank you note has tipped the balance in my favour.
