Lost Photos
Wednesday morning, 7:15am, I just came back from walking my dog, and got a panicked phone call from "Hank"1. He can't find the CF2 cards from last night's reception. We were both at the reception and he was the photographer, I was just a simple guest. Luckily it wasn't me.
Him — I can't find last night's Compact Flash cards!
Me — Did you check your pockets?
Him — Yes, I did checked everything, the bags, all my clothing, and can't find them?
Me — Call Jane-Anne and ask her if she has found them.
Him — No, I don't want to tell her yet.
Me — Why don't you phone and say that you forgot a flash and a filter? You know, eventually you will have to tell her.
...
Him — Did you take some photos that I could use? We could arrange something...
Me — No, I didn't even bring my small camera, I knew you'd be there.
He did call Jane-Anne. Where the 2 cards lost or stolen? Nobody knows, but 2 CF cards missing! Much more unlikely than just 1 card missing. His bag was on the floor at the back.
- It was a unique event. These people will never be there with the same people and the same clothing.
- Personally, before leaving, I always do a visual check of all my equipment.
- Now, I will have to investigate into a Digital Picture Viewer to backup the photos on location, so that the same thing does not happen to me.
So far, it's lunch time, "Hank" has not found the cards and has not told Jane-Anne.
1 Not his real name, he said that he will kill me if I mention his name or the customer's name ↑
2 Compact Flash ↑
