Happy New Year 2012. I hope that you had a merry Xmas and a happy New Year. It's the first post of the year, so I send myself flowers and say how great I am:
I spend a lot of time creating and updating foto-biz.
- There are 1120 posts in almost 1360 days, that's a little bit less than 4 years → 300 posts per year. It usually takes me between ¾ to 1½ hour to write a post. The quality of the writing is improving, eventually…
- In January 2011, Google's Page Rank was 2. In December 2011, Google's Page Rank is 4. BTW, Page Rank has nothing to do with web pages, but it has to do with Larry Page, one of the 2 founders of Google, who creating the Ranking algorithm. It's on a scale of 0 to 10 with Flickr having a Page Rank of 9.
- In spite of the reduction in traffic due to the holidays, 25+ thousand people came to http://www.foto-biz.com in December 2011.
- Most people came from the US, Canada, Italy, Russian Federation, Greece, Germany, Netherlands, Australia and France, in that order.
- People also come from Belgium, Finland, Romania, Japan, Turkey, Israel and Lithuania…
- People also come from US military and the FBI! I hope that it's only people that like my stuff and I'm not on any security watch.
- 52 identifiable search engines crawl http://www.foto-biz.com
- 58% of the people use Windows, 25% Mac, 6% Linux with variants, and 10% mobile (BlackBerry, iOS, Symbian, Java mobile…)
- 26% of the people use Firefox, 21% Google Chrome, 20% MS Internet Explorer, and 16% Safari
