- I was in New York, NY, taking the photo of a 4 feet concrete barrier with the sign: "Do Not Enter". What did they expect; people would not figure out that you can't drive through it? 10 seconds after I finished taking my photos, a "rent-a-cop" pounced on me, I was threatening "National Security", he had a hand on his gun[! I had to delete the photos.
- I was in Vancouver, BC when a female cop pulled over a car at an intersection and proceeded to arrest the driver. She left the cop car in the middle of the intersection. From the other side of the intersection, I started taking photos. I was at least 10 meters, 30 feet away. She saw me, and started screaming at me not to photograph her. I immediately put my camera in my backpack and walked away very, very quickly.
- In London, UK, the cops are carrying between 12-13,000 S44 searches/seizure each month in London alone1
- I had my camera with me, when 2 cops running their sirens went down Main St, Vancouver, BC, to a coffee place. I decided not to take photos. I first have to look after my own safety, in other words, I chickened out or it's also called self-censorship.
