As long as you have your Nike, your Addidas, your … Most people will go to the standard stores that are everyday 30% off, and some items are 50% off or 60% off.
There's a company in Canada that's doing very well, selling runners and running clothes at full price. They rarely have discounts, and they are doing well. It's the Running Room. They are mostly in Canada, but they also have a few stores in the US.
Why are people willing to pay full price then they can just walk down the street to the big chain store that will be so much cheaper? Because the Running room is unique:
- They have very knowledgeable staff.
- All the sales people are runners.
There are other stores that also have knowledgeable staff. Service is OK but not exceptional.
So what's make them so special and so profitable? They offer something that the competition doesn't offer: Runs and Walks. Imagine that! A store where you can buy the equipment, and use it. At the store, not too far from me, they have group runs every Wednesday nights, every Saturday and every Sunday. They have different levels from beginners to marathon levels. And they charge.
What a concept!

- Help the customer use what you sold them.
- Charge the customer to use what you sold them.
Can you do the same thing with your photography?
