This great email is very good example of how to hook onto an existing, very well publicized event, especially government sponsored events. Could be converted to:
- Are your family portraits clunkers?
- Are your seniors' photos clunkers?
- Are your latest ad-photos clunkers?
- …
Cash for Clunkers … and you give some kind of discount.
- Please note that the US government was giving away $4500 per car. That's a lot of money. Most car manufacturers also gave their own incentives, like Hyundai was giving away another $2000 off. When all the benefits were added, the discount was between 25% to 33% off.
- The cash for clunker program from the US government lasted only 2½ weeks.
- How fast would you decide if such a large discount was was expiring in the next week.
- The publicity is already done for you.
