Are You Missing Some Sales?
This week I had coffee with Georges, it's a French Georges with an s. It's the same Georges from: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. He just lost $3500 Canadian, or just under $3000 US, because he forgot.
Two years ago, he made some photos for a company that used his photos for a national ad. Georges realized that they stopped using his photos in their ad. So Georges took his courage in his hands and phoned to see what happened. Why did they drop his photos from their ad.
The license expired so we decided to run the ads without any photo to see if it would work. And it's working very well, so we decided not to call you to renew the license.
He forgot to write in his calendar to call the customer 3 month before the end of the license to contact his customer. Looks like they would have renewed it: the $3500. He forgot to call, so they decided to do something else, something new, no photo in the ad.
I run my business on 3¼ softwares:
- Microsoft Excel for most of my accounting
- Maximizer, a contact manager that is list driven so you can have dozens of contact per customer and keep everything together Maximizer
- Adobe Lightroom for almost all of my photo needs
- Adobe Photoshop CS3. That's the ¼ software. I almost don't use it anymore, since 98.9% of all my photo needs are filled by Lightroom. In fact I haven't used Photoshop in the last year.
